My attempt to catch some amazing sunset colors on the clouds last night ended with not so much sunlight but a lot of reflected clouds and some beautiful white egrets landing on the cascading waters of the Parvin Lake dam. Just another reason why I’m enjoying this project to get out every day. Even though I didn’t feel like going out yesterday, as soon as I got to Parvin State Park my energy boosted and my mood improved. It was a perfect night to sit by the water (even though I spent most of the time standing on my sprained ankle.)

The egrets weren’t exactly surprise visitors, but I have never seen two of them fly down to the dam at the same time before. There’s always a welcome experience when you just make the first step to go out and be somewhere. “Just say yes” in other words. The forecast looks like it’s going to get cold pretty soon so enjoying these possible last days of warm autumn weather is imperative. I’ll let the video do the rest of the talking:
